The management board of the State-run Hà Nội Housing Development and Investment JSC (Handico) on Saturday announced a decision to remove Nguyễn Văn Thanh from the position of company’s director for violation of COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

Between noon and 6pm, a total of 131 new cases were detected. All but two are local transmissions.

Việt Nam has recorded its 36th COVID-19-related death.  The deceased patient is an 89-year-old woman with a history of diabetes and hypertension. She died on May 15.
