The upcoming 4th meeting of the Vietnam - Indonesia Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) is expected to further consolidate and create strong momentum to bring the bilateral strategic partnership to a new height in line with the long-term interests of the two countries, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong has said.

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on July 18 to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (1962-2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the bilateral Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (1977-2022).

Solidarity, cooperation and mutual assistance between Việt Nam and Laos are the foundations of the success the two countries have found in working together in the past and will build on going forward, Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng said. 

The great friendship and special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos are reflected via photos, documents and objects at an exhibition, which was opened at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi on July 18.

An exhibition is being held at Kaysone Phomvihane Museum in the Lao capital city of Vientiane, displaying photos, documents, objects and books on the Vietnam-Laos great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive friendship as well as the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022.
