President of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye will be on an official visit to Việt Nam from April 3-6.

A young man has been rescued alive from under the rubble of Hotel Aye Chan Thar in Naypyitaw, thanks to a coordinated effort between Vietnamese, Turkish and Myanmar rescue teams.

This visit serves as an important opportunity to highlight the long-standing cooperation between Việt Nam and Belgium in this field.

The victim was found under the debris of the 1,000-bed Zabuthiri town hospital.

The top Vietnamese legislator noted with pleasure the positive growth of the Việt Nam-Belgium friendship in general and the collaboration between the two legislatures through high-level visits and exchanges of legislators, as well as coordination at multilateral parliamentary forums.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính expressed gratitude for Belgium’s continued development support for Việt Nam and urged further concrete initiatives during his meeting with Belgian King Philippe in Hà Nội.

Party General Secretary Tô Lâm expressed his belief that the Belgian king's visit, accompanied by senior officials, business leaders, representatives of universities and research institutes, would create new momentum to deepen and enhance the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Việt Nam and Belgium.

The defence attachés from China, Laos and Cambodia affirmed they would promptly report the invitation to their respective governments.

The Government Steering Committee emphasised that Việt Nam's visa policy still needs further improvements to support economic and social development, promote tourism and attract foreign investors and experts across various fields.

Regarding economy and trade, an important pillar in the Việt Nam - Belgium relations, the two countries' leaders agreed to continue to effectively implement the EU – Việt Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

The agreement was signed at the Organised Immigration Summit in London by the UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and Việt Nam’s Minister for Public Security, General Lương Tam Quang.

This marks the first official visit to Armenia by a top Vietnamese legislator since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1992. The visit takes place against the backdrop of a well-nurtured traditional friendship that continues to grow stronger.

The distinguished guests walked through the Đoan Môn gate (main gate) to visit the archaeological excavation site and stairways railed with stone dragons at the Kính Thiên Palace, which preserve numerous historical traces of the imperial citadel across different eras.

Since Việt Nam joined the IPU in 1979, the Vietnamese NA has consistently demonstrated active and responsible participation, contributing positively alongside other parliaments in sharing experiences in policy and law-making.

Politburo member, Minister of Public Security General Lương Tam Quang attended and delivered an important speech at the Organised Immigration Summit held in London, the UK on Monday.

This is the first state visit in over 50 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations.

They have been equipped with advanced rescue devices, including a sound detection device, acoustic and visual search radar, hydraulic excavation support equipment and a handheld victim search device for locating individuals trapped under rubble.
