The leader of the Cuban revolution believed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people will continue obtaining new achievements on the path of socialism building.

Party General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse have extended their deepest gratitude to First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and his spouse in a message following his state visit to Cuba.

Vietnamese trainees who return home after their study in Japan have successfully applied their knowledge, effectively fulfilling their duties and becoming a bridge to foster the friendly cooperation between Việt Nam Japan.

The order was granted in recognition of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee and President of Việt Nam Tô Lâm’s priceless contributions to the development of the solidarity, friendship, and faithful relations between the two Parties, States, and peoples.

The trip demonstrates Việt Nam’s contributions to the world’s largest multilateral organisation, as well as the country’s proactive and active engagement in the settlement of regional and international issues.

The Cuban PM congratulated the Party, State and people of Việt Nam on their great achievements during the country’s renewal process over the past nearly 40 years, and highly evaluated its efforts in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon Yagi.

The host stressed that the first state visit to Cuba by Lâm as the top leader of the Vietnamese Party and State holds special significance as it reflects the great respect for relations and the revolutionary solidarity between the two Parties and the two countries, helping intensify the trust and make practical improvements in the bilateral ties in the coming time.

In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency in New York, United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-PierreLacroix noted that Việt Nam has deployed forces to UN peacekeeping missions, including a Level-2 field hospital in South Sudan and, more recently, an engineering unit to the UN mission in Abyei.

The event was also attended by Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and several leaders of Cuban ministries and sectors.

Nina Ostanina, chair of the public movement "All-Russian Women's Union - Hope of Russia" and head of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, said that Russia and Việt Nam share many views on family, women and children, emphasising the importance of protecting traditional values, the role of the family nucleus in society, gender equality, and protecting children from negative influences.  

Cuban leader praised Vietnamese enterprises' operations in the ZEDM, describing them as evidence for the special traditional friendship between the two countries and the promising future of their economic cooperation.

PM Chính urges rich countries, developed nations and those with better resources to assist developing and poorer countries in institution building, financing, quality workforce training, and transfer of advanced technology and smart governance practices.  

For Vietnamese citizens who cannot leave Lebanon due to force majeure, the embassy reiterated that they need to be vigilant, closely follow the situation on local media, refrain from gathering in crowded places and absolutely do not go near the southern area of Beirut
