The establishment of the Việt Nam - Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership is aimed at elevating the relationship between the two countries to a new height, both at bilateral and multilateral level. It will reinforce and enhance the existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms while paving the way for development of new frameworks to further deepen collaboration.

With its geographic advantages, Azerbaijan hopes to cooperate with Việt Nam in logistics, seaport, railway, aviation, and renewable energy

US Ambassador to Việt Nam Marc Knapper expressed his belief that, with goodwill, the negotiation process would yield positive outcomes, benefiting citizens and business communities in both nations.

Following the parade, the two heads of state and their spouses moved inside the Presidential Palace for an official photo session.

Speaking highly of the support from both the Democratic and Republican Parties for the development of bilateral relations, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Trần Quang Phương proposed the two countries' parliaments increase mutual visits between their lawmakers and strengthen coordination to facilitate the expansion and intensification of cooperation in all areas of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The General Secretary and his spouse attended a Việt Nam – Kazakhstan friendship concert, met the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community there, and visited the Ethno-Village of Kazakhstan.

PM Phạm Minh Chính appreciated the US administration and Congress’s support for a strong, independent, resilient, and prosperous Việt Nam, calling on the USCC Chair and members to continue supporting the development of bilateral relations.

Deputy PM Trần Hồng Hà said that Việt Nam always remembers the great support of the State and people of the Soviet Union and Russia during the resistance wars as well as the cause of national construction and defence.

Việt Nam and Azerbaijan share a long-standing bond, cultivated by President Hồ Chí Minh and Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev, and strengthened over the decades by successive leaders and their people.

The 9th session of the 15^th National Assembly opened on May 5 and is scheduled to close on June 30. Lawmakers will review and decide on 54 items related to constitutional and legislative work, including amendments to the 2013 Constitution and a resolution on merging provincial administrative units. They will also consider 14 groups of issues on socio-economic matters, the state budget, oversight, and other key topics.

Both nations need to continue upholding multilateralism, safeguarding the legitimate interests of developing countries, and proactively contributing to the international community’s efforts to address global challenges such as climate change, energy security, water security, and food security, and the fight against terrorism and transnational crime

The two nations have strengthened cooperation through a visa exemption agreement and tourism collaboration, resulting in increased people-to-people exchanges. Flight frequency has increased to 3-5 daily flights, contributing to a remarkable rise in Kazakh visitors to Việt Nam.

The President of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), who is in Việt Nam to attend the regional workshop on the ITLOS’s role in resolving disputes related to the Law of the Sea, which it co-hosted with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit underscores both sides’ strong wish to deepen ties and explore new areas of cooperation, said President Ilham Aliyev, adding that it is expected to be a pivotal moment in advancing Azerbaijan–Việt Nam relations in the current context.
