Việt Nam has attached much importance to developing its relations and all-round cooperation with Australia.

On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has signed off Regulation 368-QD/TW on the list of leadership positions and groups of leadership positions in the political system.

The new regulation is expected to greatly help strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of the political system while addressing shortcomings in personnel affairs.

Today, Việt Nam is the US’s eighth-largest trading partner, while the US ranks as Việt Nam's second-largest. American investors are among the top ten sources of foreign direct investment in Việt Nam, while Vietnamese companies are expanding operations in the US, contributing to job creation and supply chain resilience.

Vietnam treasures and wants to effectively deploy its comprehensive strategic partnership with Malaysia, serving the interests of the people of both countries, and contributing to the building of a united and cohesive ASEAN, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man told President of the Malaysian Senate Dato Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah.

The two sides agreed to work with ASEAN countries to build a united, inclusive, and resilient ASEAN, uphold the bloc’s central role, particularly on the East Sea issue, and contribute to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

Both leaders agreed to closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums such as AIPA, the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), among others, thus contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable, and developing environment in the region and the world.

President Luong Cuong’s upcoming attendance at the high-level General Debate of the 80^th session of the UN General Assembly and the High-level Week to mark the 80^th founding anniversary of the UN in the US reaffirms Vietnam’s strong commitment to multilateralism and the UN’s core values.

In line with the 2025 work plan approved by the Minister of Justice under Decision No. 1133/QD-BTP, the Department of Law Dissemination and Education and Legal Aid on September 18, 2025, launched a specialized training workshop on skills for providing legal aid to minors in Lam Dong province.

The visit took place during NA Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn’s trip to Malaysia to attend the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter‑Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46) and pay an official visit to the country. 

Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, congratulated Australia on its recent achievements, welcomed the positive results of Governor-General Sam Mostyn’s recent state visit to Việt Nam.

The two sides agreed to continue close coordination to effectively carry out annual cooperation mechanisms such as border defence friendship exchanges, joint patrols on land and at sea, enhanced joint training and exercises, and defence industry collaboration.

Việt Nam praised Indonesia’s initiative to send naval and coast guard vessels to Việt Nam for visits in 2024.

As for the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning, which intersects with the revised Land Law and other laws, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm stressed the need for an initial review to amend provisions, clear real-world obstacles, and ensure consistency and connectivity across the legal system.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim affirmed the important role of AIPA, together with the parliaments of member states, in making positive contributions to the common efforts to strengthen solidarity, foster economic integration, and consolidate ASEAN’s central role in addressing regional and global challenges.

In the coming time, Việt Nam will continue to focus on large-scale infrastructure projects such as standard-gauge railways connecting with China, Central Asia, and Europe.
