Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has urged ministries, sectors, and coastal localities to tighten management and take decisive measures to address shortcomings in combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing, following the latest recommendations by the European Commission.

While the Party and State will continue refining institutional framework, mechanisms and policies, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made clear that enterprises must be the main drivers of growth. He urged them to take greater responsibility for rapid and sustainable development, while actively contributing to institutional reform.

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has called on US businesses and investors to partner with Vietnam in building and operating the Vietnam International Financial Centre, particularly in developing specialised financial products and services that could give the hub a distinct competitive edge and position it as an important node in the global financial network.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that Vietnam–EU relations have developed robustly over the past three decades, supported by an increasingly comprehensive cooperation framework. He highlighted the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) as a key driver of bilateral trade and investment.

"We have grounds to expect that Vietnam’s youth will continue to write new chapters of the nation’s glorious history in the language of today: the language of knowledge, creativity, responsibility, and the relentless aspiration to rise and excel," wrote Party leader To Lam.

Vietnam has always considered developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia as one of the top priorities in its foreign policy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed.

Following the talks, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin witnessed the signing of the agreement between the two governments on cooperation in building a nuclear power plant on the territory of Vietnam.

Directed by the Central Military Commission - the Ministry of National Defence, and the Military University of Culture and Arts, the event was meant to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

The meeting is also scheduled to consider personnel affairs for State agencies for the 2026-31 tenure and provide opinions on the five-year socio-economic development plan, national financial plan and medium-term public investment plan for 2026-31, along with other key national issues.

The official welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was held solemnly at Vnukovo-2 International Airport in Moscow, chaired by Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Yurevich Rudenko.
