The 2020 Law on Environmental Protection (the Law) regulates environmental protection activities; and rights, obligations and responsibilities of agencies, organizations, residential communities, households and individuals in these activities.

Law 67/2020/QH14 Revising a Number of Articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations aims at improving mechanisms, policies, order and procedures in the legislation on handling of administrative violations and removing limitations of the current law on handling of administrative violations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of law implementation in reality.

During the feudal time, Vietnamese family relationships were governed by not only Confucian principles but also fundamental morals, which established a code of conduct among family members and affirmed the rules for family ties. The harmonious combination of the fundamental morals and Confucian principles among family members has formed the traditional family culture of Vietnamese people. Vietnamese feudal laws institutionalized the traditional morality with specific duties for family members and measures against violations. The values and limitations of Vietnamese feudal laws in this regard have been inherited and abolished in the spirit of ensuring equality, freedom and human rights for women, the elderly and children - the disadvantaged members in families and society.

From July 1, 2021, the new Law on International Agreements supersedes the 2007 Ordinance on Conclusion and Implementation of International Agreements.

The Law Revising a Number of Articles of the 2014 Law on Organization of the National Assembly (the Revised Law) was passed in June 2020 and took effect in January this year.
