LÀO CAI — Heavy showers accompanied by hail suddenly poured down in the northern mountainous province of Lào Cai at around 6:30pm on Wednesday.

According to local authorities, hail was recorded in some areas of Văn Bàn District.

Particularly, in the communes of Khánh Yên Trung and Khánh Yên Thượng, and the town of Văn Bàn, there were two hailstorms lasting from 6:30pm to 6:35pm and from 6:38pm to 6:48 m, with dense intensity.

Damages are not yet reported but initial reports indicate some areas of trees, flowers and residential houses were affected.

Currently, the weather in some areas of the province still shows signs of continuing complex developments.
