HCM CITY – The Saigon International Student Orchestra (SISO) has made their first public appearance with a debut concert held at VOH Music One - Opera House in HCM City.

The Dream Concert - Youth Talent Series 2024/ No.1 kicks off a series of regular artistic activities, featuring performances by students, young artists and over 50 members of the SISO.

The musical night brought a wide range of emotions to the audience with iconic compositions such as Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Piano Concerto No. 3, Symphony No. 40 by Mozart, Cancan by Offenbach and Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms.

It opened with a piano performance of Mozart's iconic composition, Eine kleine Nachtmusik, presented by Miss Eco Teen 2021 Bella Vũ.

With over 10 years of piano training, Bella holds an international music certification, ABRSM Piano Grade 5, along with numerous achievements, including a gold medal at the International Art Festival 2023 and a silver medal at the Asia Art Festival in 2015 and 2022.

She was crowned Miss Eco Teen International in 2021.

The 16-year-old student said she had been practising this musical piece for two years, but this is her first performance, together with around 50 artists in the grand auditorium with hundreds of spectators.

In addition to the opening performance, Bella also took on the role of MC in this concert.

SISO also features the performance of Bella’s elder brother, Oscar Vũ. The two siblings began their music education under the guidance of conductor Nguyễn Long An when they were just five and seven years old.

At age 18, Oscar Vũ boasts an impressive collection of artistic achievements across various musical instruments. These include a gold medal in solo piano and a silver medal in piano duet at Asia Pacific Arts Festival 2023, a silver medal in solo piano at International Arts Festival 2023, and a bronze medal in solo guitar at Asia Art Festival 2022. The 18-year-old young man has also attained the ABRSM piano grade 5 music certification.

SISO was established in August 2023, initiated by conductor and pianist Nguyễn Long An, with the mission of inspiring and igniting a passion for classical music and providing young talents with professional stage opportunities.

After the Dream Concert - Youth Talent Series 2024/ No.1, Bella and other young musicians of SISO will perform together at Bella Vu - Steinway Piano Recital that is scheduled to take place at Steinway & Sons Exclusive Gallery in District 7, HCM City on April 27.

Together they will present to the audience enchanting piano pieces, taking them on a colourful musical journey from classical to contemporary like Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart, Italian Folk Song Bella Ciao, Sonatine No.3 by Muzio Clementi or Spirited Away by Joe Hisaishi. VNS
