ĐÀ NẴNG — A nurse from Hà Nội-based Bạch Mai Hospital saved the life of a foreign tourist who suffered sudden cardiac arrest while dining at a restaurant in Đà Nẵng City.

The incident happed at 8pm on March 24 as Narinder Jean, an Indian national, was enjoying dinner with his wife when he suddenly collapsed.

Đặng Thị Hà, a nurse of the Emergency Centre A9 at Bạch Mai Hospital, was on a vacation and dining nearby. She immediately rushed to him to perform CPR and called for emergency services 115.

After several cycles, the patient regained consciousness and was admitted to a local hospital for further treatment.

According to information received by Sức khỏe & Đời sống Newspaper, Narinder Jean had a history of coronary artery disease and had previously undergone bypass surgery.

For the past two days, he had been experiencing gastrointestinal disturbances.
