Paris (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang, and Ambassador Le Thi Hong Van, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to UNESCO, on April 10 visited the Lao Embassy on the occasion of the country’s traditional New Year festival (Bounpimay).

They extended their best wishes to Lao Ambassador Kham-Inh Khitchadet and his spouse and the embassy’s staff and their families.

The visits to Laos by Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will help create new impetus for the Vietnam-Laos cooperation in all channels and fields, Thang stated.

He expressed his hope that the two embassies will promote the achieved results and support each other to fulfill their assigned tasks to serve the interests of each nation and the ASEAN community.

Lao Ambassador Kham-Inh Khitchadeth proposed the two embassies create favourable conditions for young diplomats to step up contacts and exchange information to enhance their responsibility in protecting and maintaining the bilateral relations./.
