HÀ NỘI — Duo Nguyễn Đức Thắng and Hoàng Văn Điềm of Quảng Ninh won a bronze medal at the ninth National Sports Games' men's doubles 9-ball event on November 6 in Hà Nội.

Thắng and Điềm lost 9-7 to Nguyễn Phong Nam and Đỗ Hoàng Quân of Đà Nẵng in the first semi-final match at the Hà Đông District Gymnasium.

In the second semis, Đỗ Thế Kiên and Nguyễn Anh Tuấn of Hà Nội trounced Lô Văn Xuân and Nguyễn Hoàng Tuấn of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu 9-4.

Đà Nẵng and Hà Nội will see each other in the final match. Meanwhile, Quảng Ninh and Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu shared third place.

On December 7, Đức Thắng of Quảng Ninh will compete in the men's singles 10-ball event, facing Nguyễn Phúc Long of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu. It is considered a tough job for Thắng as his rival is one of the top athletes of 10-ball in Việt Nam. VNS
