HÀ NỘI — Sahako have officially been crowned champions of this season's National Futsal Championship. 

Having already secured enough points in the previous round, Sahako ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Hưng Gia Khang Đắk Lắk on the last day of the season on Thursday.

This victory gave Sahako 40 points after 18 matches, three more than the runners-up Thái Sơn Nam. Third place went to Saigon FC with 30 points.

This is also the first championship title in the history of Sahako Club and a worthy reward for the efforts of coach Nguyễn Tuấn Anh and his players.

"This season, we have shown determination and succeeded in both the first and second phases. This is the result of the team's efforts over the years from the players to the coaching staff, the club's leadership," Anh said.

"To prepare for the next season, we will continue to sign contracts with potential players to get the best preparation on the journey to affirm the position of the team," Anh added.

Tthe organising board also awarded the style prizes to Thái Sơn Bắc, the best player award for Khổng Đình Hùng of Sahako, the top scorer award to Lâm Tấn Phát of Sahako and Nguyễn Trần Duy of Saigon FC, who each scored ten goals. The best goalkeeper went to Mai Xuân Hiệp of Sahako.

As 2022 champions, Sahako will represent Vietnamese futsal in the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2023, while the runners-up Thái Sơn Nam will attend the 2023 AFF Futsal Championship.

The National Futsal Championship attracted more than 80,000 spectators this season and hundreds of thousands of spectators through media such as VTC3  and VOV.

The clubs now have more than a week to rest ahead of the 2022 National Cup, which will take place from November 19 to December 3 at Lãnh Bình Thăng Gymnasium in HCM City. VNS
