Reference exchange rate continues rising trend

The daily reference exchange rate continued the rising trend since the beginning of the week, being set at 22,578 VND/USD on June 13, up 3 VND from the previous day.

The daily reference exchange rate continued the rising trend since the beginning of the week, being set at 22,578 VND/USD on June 13, up 3 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,255 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,901 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks also increased slightly compared to June 12.

The rates listed at Vietcombank rose by 10 VND to 22,775 VND/USD (buying) and 22,845 VND/USD (selling).

BIDV increased both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,775 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,845 VND/USD.  

Techcombank also added 5 VND to both rates, buying the greenback at 22,755 VND/USD and selling at 22,855 VND/USD.

The State Bank of Vietnam has adjusted up the daily reference exchange rate since the beginning of the week. The rate has gained an aggregated 20 VND so far this week compared to the end of last week.-VNA
