Vietnam, Japan seek new development phase for ties
President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe have reached high consensus on major orientations and concrete measures to advance the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership in a more comprehensive, practical and efficient manner.
President Tran Dai Quang had a meeting with Chuichi Date, Speaker of House of Councillors of the Japanese National Diet in Tokyo on May 30 during which the two sides said they are pleased with strong growth of the Vietnam-Japan ties.
Japan, the second biggest investor in Vietnam, is continuing to pour billions of USD into new projects in the Southeast Asian nation, an investment partnership expected to grow stronger after a State visit to Japan by President Tran Dai Quang.
