The northern mountainous province of Yen Bai has completed their housing improvement scheme aimed at eliminating makeshift and dilapidated homes across the locality. As of June 13, the province had fully delivered on its 2025 plan to support the renovation or reconstruction of 2,208 homes. Of these, 1,815 were newly built and 393 were repaired. The project received total funding of approximately 120.69 billion VND (approximately 4.74 million USD) from both the State budget and social contributions. Since 2016, Yen Bai has supported the construction of more than 16,000 homes, including nearly 2,400 for households with meritorious service to the nation and over 13,600 for poor and near-poor households.
