The relics site of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Headquarters in Muong Phang Commune, Dien Bien district, the northwestern province of Dien Bien, is one of remarkable historical evidences of the Vietnamese Army’s glorious battle, which ended the French colonial rule in the country. Sixty-seven years ago, from this place, General Vo Nguyen Giap – the commander-in-chief of the campaign, made judicious tactical decisions, leading to a victory “resounding throughout five continents, shaking the world”.
