HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on September 22 received medical supplies worth 373 billion VND (16.38 million USD) from businesses in support of the city's fight against COVID-19.

The medical supplies include 2 million rapid test kits manufactured in Switzerland, valued at 250 billion VND, donated by T&T Group JSC and Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank and 2 million quick test kits worth 123 billion VND, which were produced in the Republic of Korea, granted by Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank).

Chairwoman of the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee To Thi Bich Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the firms' assistance to HCM City.

She pledged to work closely with the municipal Health Department to distribute the test kits to the right persons and to the right purpose, contributing to driving back the pandemic and bringing the city to new normal soon.

From July 1 to September 21, Ho Chi Minh City received over 2.1 trillion VND from 177 units, organisations and individuals at home and abroad for the fight against the pandemic./.
