New head of Russian subcommittee in intergovernmental committee named
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko has been appointed as chairman of the Russian subcommittee in the Russia-Vietnam intergovernmental committee.

The decision was made by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on February 18.
Chernyshenko was also assigned to lead the Russian subcommittees in the intergovernmental committees with Israel and Singapore.
According to the Russian Government’s website, Chernyshenko was born in 1968 in Saratov. He graduated from the Moscow State Technological University.
Vietnam and Russia established diplomatic ties in 1950. The two countries marked the 70th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations in January 2020./.
