Vietnam sends congratulations to new Sultan of Oman

Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong has sent congratulations to the
new Sultan of Oman, Haitham Bin Tariq Bin Taimour Al Said.
The new Sultan succeeded his cousin, Qaboos Bin Said Al Said, who passed away on January 10 at the age of 79.
On January 14, the Party and State leader of Vietnam sent a message of condolences to the new Sultan of Oman over the death of Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said.
Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Minh Khoi also visited the Embassy of Oman in Hanoi to offer his condolences and write in the mourning book./.
