Vietnam sends congratulations to Bangladeshi parliament speaker

(Photo: VNA)Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan cabled a message of congratulations on February 13 to Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on her re-election as Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad, the Bangladeshi parliament.
Vietnam and Bangladesh established diplomatic relations 45 years ago (February 11, 1973). Since then, the two nations have maintained their traditional friendship and solid cooperation, and have observed important development steps in terms of both politics and economy.
Vietnam has always attached importance to and wanted to further develop its friendly and cooperative relations with Bangladesh. The two countries have stood side by side and supported each other in their respective processes of national construction, sovereignty safeguarding, and economic development.–VNA
