VĨNH PHÚC — The 10th Culture, Sports, and Tourism Festival for ethnic minority groups in the north-eastern region was held in Vĩnh Phúc Province from July 19 to 21.
Themed “Preserving and Promoting Northeast Ethnic Culture in the Reform Process: Integration and Sustainable Development,” the festival featured 10 provinces.
There were a number of activities such as traditional rituals, music performances, traditional fashion shows, and folk games.
Some 300 photos of famous tourist attractions and the beauty of the north-eastern region’s landscapes and people were displayed.
Vũ Viết Văn, deputy chairman of the Vĩnh Phúc People’s Committee, said the festival was aimed at honouring, preserving and promoting the traditional cultures of ethnic minority groups in north-eastern provinces and offering local people and artists the opportunity to meet and share ideas on protecting traditional values.—VNS
