ĐÀ NẴNG — An exhibition displaying the development of ethnic minority groups living in the Central Highlands has opened to the public at Đà Nẵng Fine Arts Museum at 78 Lê Duẩn Street.

The exhibition, which was jointly organised by the museum and the Foundation of International Development Relief (FIDR), aims to introduce the 20-year journey of ethnic minority groups in the region as well as community-based support projects working to preserve their culture, traditions, as well as promote education and tourism.

Local artisans from ethnic groups in the mountainous districts of Tây Giang and Nam Giang in the central province of Quảng Nam and Hòa Bắc Commune in Đà Nẵng City will also demonstrate cultural performances and handicrafts at the museum, as well as present local cuisine and farming produce for visitors.

The region is home to the ethnic minority groups of Cơ Tu, Cor, Xê Đăng and Ba Na. They live in the Trường Sơn Mountain range in the central and Central Highlands provinces.
