HCM CITY — The HCM City People’s Committee has approved an adjusted construction plan at a scale of 1/2000 for the C30 and Trường Thọ complex areas in districts 10, Tân Bình, and Thủ Đức.

The C30 complex, which has a total area of nearly 41 ha, is located in districts Tân Bình and 10.

The area will include residences, offices, a post office, high-tech areas, and schools and health facilities.

The C30 complex is divided into two parts, 30ha in District 10 and 10ha in Tân Bình District.

The city’s People’s Committee has asked the District 10 People’s Committee to adjust the detailed plan at a scale of 1/2000 for the C30 complex.

The C30 complex is expected to attract about 3,000 residents in Tân Bình District and more than 5,000 residents in District 10.

In addition, the city’s Department of Planning and Investment will conduct research on the Trường Thọ residential area in Thủ Đức District and the location of an inland container depot (ICD) in District 9 that would serve the Trường Thọ Port in Thủ Đức District.

The HCM City People’s Committee has approved construction of the inland container depot under a public-private partnership.

The 60ha ICD, to cost VNĐ5.8 trillion (US$260 million), will be finished by 2019.

The People’s Committee has instructed the departments of Transport, Planning and Architecture, and the District 9 administration to widen the 10m-wide Nguyễn Xiển Street to relieve traffic congestion near the port.

The People’s Committee has also approved new adjustments to the Miền Đông Bus Station project in District 9 and Metro Line No.1.

Investors will be allowed to build residential, trade and service buildings at a height of no more than 12 floors.

The Miền Đông Bus Station complex would cover 16 hectares, and 12.3ha will be in Long Bình Ward in District 9. The remaining will be in Dĩ An District in Bình Dương Province.

As planned, the bus station will serve about 21,000 passengers per day, with 1,200 buses departing daily. On peak days, this will increase to 52,000 passengers and 1,800 buses. — VNS
