HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam ranked sixth in the Asian Women’s U19 volleyball championship, LienVietPostBank 2018 Cup.

The event concluded in the northern province of Bắc Ninh on June 17.

Việt Nam lost to South Korea 0-3 to finish sixth. Japan won the title after beating China 3-0.

The Việt Nam Volleyball Federation awarded the team VNĐ100 million as reward.

At the previous championship in 2016 in Thailand, Việt Nam came fourth. China finished first, followed by Japan and Thailand.

The Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship is a biennial volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania among the Under-19 women’s teams of the members of the Asian Volleyball Confederation. — VNS
